Rooted
Faith for the everyday.
Prayer, perspective and encouragement for living intentionally and keeping our hearts rooted in what matters most.
“Being rooted does not mean life is always calm. It means knowing where to return when it is not.”

A Quiet Morning with Jesus
One of the most life-giving rhythms in my home begins before the rest of the house wakes up.
For years, I've set my alarm about 30 minutes before my kids get up so I can enjoy a quiet moment with the Lord. A warm cup of coffee, my Bible, and Jesus Calling have become part of that daily rhythm.
I don't follow the dates in the book—I simply pick up where I left off. Some mornings are missed, and that's okay. Over the years I've read it several times, filling the pages with notes, prayers, and reminders of God's faithfulness. Every time I read it again, something new stands out.
Those quiet moments help prepare my heart before the busyness of the day begins. They remind me to slow down, be still, and keep my eyes on Christ.
If you're looking for a place to begin your own morning rhythm, I can't recommend this book enough.
FAITHFUL IN THE ORDINARY
God is at work in the everyday.
In the meals we make, the people we care for, the homes we tend, the conversations we have and the quiet moments no one else sees. I’m learning that living rooted isn't about creating a perfectly peaceful life. It's about inviting God into the life I'm already living.
